“Blackout”

An experimental show in which both performers expore the surface and the texture of an old model of an anatomic skeleton’s bones through microphones which transmit the sound of the action.
Blackout seeks to join the concepts of creativity, sound, time, space, image and movement to understand the body as a set of codes and to explore the limits of its representation.
João Samões is an anthropologist and he has explored body techniques, improvisation and coreography composition in Lisbon and New York. He worked as an actor and contemporary dance dancer and he created works together with Francisco Camacho (in 1997 and 1998) and Vera Mantero (in 2001 and 2002).
