The Asturiano musician Daniel Romero (aka .tape. ) will present his least-known side, the visual creator, in a set created exclusively for L.E.V. 09. Daniel will dive into the poetry of lines and curves, abstract geometry and polygonal delirium in his new generative compositions. A geometric universe far from his usual lo-fi style.
.Tape. is Daniel Romero’s musical project, a hyperactive artist who back in 1999 decided to start an adventure by trying to turn his bedroom into a shrine of magic sounds, mixing folk guitars with bleeps and blops, pop melodies and bedroom sounds, instruments for kids, cheap keyboards and an endless list of electronic details in a sweet lo-fi style.
.Tape. is one of the biggest examples of the artist who gets recognition abroad before he does in his own country. Countries such as Japan or France, or recently Southamerica have wanted to surrender to his plastic electronica of sweet looks and schizophrenic background. Meanwhile, in Spain only a few enjoy his synthetic melodies and his pastoral glitches.
