THEATER OF THE LABORAL

The Theater of the Laboral is one of the main venues of L.E.V. Festival. Opened in October 2007 after more than two years of intense refurbishment that have given it excellent acoustics and a faultless ability to accommodate all kinds of shows. The Theater of the Laboral is today the main theater of Asturias and one of the best of Northern Spain. In the Theater the leisurely schedule of the festival takes place, focused on audiovisual concerts that the audience can enjoy with complete confort from the seats of this excelent space.

ESPACIO FUNDACIÓN EDP – IGLESIA DE LA LABORAL

Thanks to a close collaboration with EDP Foundation, L.E.V. Festival comes back to Iglesia de la Laboral with Melting Memories: Engram as data sculpture by Refik Anadol.

This spectacular installation will be shown for the first time in Spain at Espacio EDP – Iglesia de La Laboral, and it is an exciting project about the materiality and representation of memories, a perfect dialogue among science, arts and technology.

PAINTING ROOM

Located inside the Laboral Theater, the Painting Room boasts some Fresco paintings on its walls by artist Enrique Segura, inspired by Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.

During the Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual, this unique environment will host the Jägermusic Showcase, the result of a collaboration between Jägermeister and L.E.V.

STAGE HOUSE

The Stage house in Teatro de Laboral is clearly the perfect space to enjoy all the Festival’s Sunday afternoon smaller-scale activities.

OLD KITCHEN

Located inside the Laboral City of Culture, the Old Kitchen – an incredible, historical space which is only open to the public on very special occasions.

PUEBLO DE ASTURIAS MUSEUM

The Pueblo de Asturias Folk Museum was created in 1968. It comprises an area of ​​30,000 square metres. 

The purpose of the museum is to preserve, display and disseminate the material, graphic and oral testimonies that enable a better knowledge of traditional Asturian society while also preserving its memory.

LABORAL ART CENTRE

LABoral hosts the pre-Festival arts residencies where some of the shows premiered at L.E.V. are finally developed, such as ex(O) of Alex Augier and Alba G. Corral, Delta-T of Matthew Biederman and Pierce Warnecke,  AntiVolume In/Ext of Lucas Paris and Synspecies of Elias Merino and Tadej Droljc.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

L.E.V. events are held again at the well known Botanical Garden, one of the Festival’s most charming environments.

(OLD INSTITUTE) CULTURAL CENTRE. CCAI

The (Old Institute) Cultural Centre is a benchmark space for cultural artistic creation in the city of Gijón.

PARANINFO

Access through Café de La Laboral.

Worthy of special mention is its avant-garde architecture in the form of a ship’s prow, Paraninfo is a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 150.
