Experimental artist and producer from Taipei Meuko! Meuko! and Taiwanese collective NAXS Corp present Innervision, the VR installation version of the Ghost Island series. Integrating dream writing, soundscape collecting, 3D scanning technology, electronic noise and digital sculpture, the artists attempt to transform chaotic urban street views and internet space into a virtual landscape in the Realtime 3D Engine.
The term Ghost Island hints at anger and emotional alienation. In the meantime, this work captures the possibility of becoming primitive and transcendent, and floats on the border between myth and reality from the viewpoint of a wandering spirit. Travelling through the post-utopia ruins constructed by the desires of the technological era, the artists present Ghost Island as a sci-fi fable for contemporary post-Internet society.
