About the 16th edition of L.E.V. Festival in Gijón

From April 28 to May 1, 2022, L.E.V. Festival (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual) celebrated its 16th edition in Gijón, going back to its usual dates and night programming in the Nave of Laboral Centro de Arte as in previous editions before the pandemic. For four days and in different venues, the public of the city and its visitors were offered an extensive line up that showcased some of the most astonishing artistic experiences in the field of electronic sound creation, audiovisual creation and contemporary digital art.

With the support of the City Council of Gijón and the Principality of Asturias, L.E.V. focused this year’s program on concerts and audiovisual performances, with a line up headlined by the emblematic English producer Squarepusher, and audiovisual shows as impressive as the multimedia performance The End of the World by Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk together with collective spime.im and cellist Julia Kent.

It also offered virtual and augmented reality experiences in synergy with the project Arenas Movedizas and two artistic installations: the dynamic light sculpture Espills by Playmodes, in collaboration with Fundación EDP; and the installation Liminal by Canadian artist LP Rondeau.
