Since 2019, Fifty Lab music festival aims to invite the most promising upcoming talents, during 3 days throughout iconic venues in the heart of Brussels (Belgium). With recommendations of some of the most influential Belgian and international musical programmers, the audience will discover the next musical crushes from all musical genres and nationalities.
In these times of non-stop information and impulses, they crave for customized suggestions that are tailored to their taste. For this year’s edition, taking place between 15-17 November, Fifty Lab has invited L.E.V. to recommend an artist for their line up, and we have selected no other than our essential local talent Jailed Jamie, who will be performing on 16 November.
Jaime Tellado aka Skygaze has been an active part of the Spanish electronic underground scene since 2013 and in 2019 he began his journey as Jailed Jamie. His album Rave Tool was selected among the best of the national harvest of 2019. After this LP, he published a series of maxis on labels such as Breaking Bass or SinHilo that led him to perform at festivals such as the Brave Factory in Kyiv or for the Spain Arts&Culture platform in the US and for emblematic clubs of the Iberian peninsula.
In 2023 he joins forces with the Gijón label Antic Mass for the release of his second full-length album called Gimme Something To Break. A heterogeneous album which pays a tribute to the past, to the end of the 90s and the beginning of the current century, to already timeless genres such as BigBeat, BreakBeat, Jungle or Electro. Without any doubt, the darkest and most danceable work that the Asturian has produced to date, which he premiered live at the last edition of L.E.V. Festival with the support of Gijón Youth Department.
