Festival, Laboratorio de Electr\u00f3nica Visual<\/a>, hosts two audiovisual experiences in the city of Gij\u00f3n\/Xix\u00f3n, which may be attended at\u00a0Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto de Gij\u00f3n\/Xix\u00f3n<\/strong>: the installations\u00a0ROW<\/em>, created by the Russian collective\u00a0Tundra<\/strong>, and\u00a0Frozen Music<\/em>, by Canadian artists\u00a0Cadie Desbiens-Desmeules<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Michael Gary Dean<\/strong>. L.E.V. The installation explores our perception of information, language and debate.<\/p>\n A row is a basic way to structure data, from mathematics to the twelve notes of the chromatic scale in music. There are infinite rows of data floating in the air every second, being converted into messages and voices. Bits of information become symbols that can be combined into words, words add up to become sentences, and sentences translate our ideas and thoughts.<\/p>\n ROW<\/em>\u00a0is made up of a modular array of holographic screens that can form lines of various lengths and shapes, adapting to any space. Festival returns to Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto de Gij\u00f3n \/ Xix\u00f3n with the installation\u00a0Frozen Music<\/em>, a large format generative video by Canadian artists Cadie Desbiens-Desmeules and Michael Gary Dean.<\/p>\n In this piece, images and sound build up a strange synesthesia.
