Matadero, Festival of Visual Electronica and Immersive Experiences, comes back for its third year in September 23-26 in Matadero Madrid, to showcase new experiences in the fields of audiovisual creation, electronic music and digital art.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>This new LEV will feature live shows again, with a line-up of concerts and audiovisual performances in Cineteca\u2019s Sala Azcona, showcasing a roster of classic names plus new local and international talents such as Scanner, Grischa Lichtenberger, Zoe McPherson &amp; Alessandra Leone, Lee Gamble &amp; Clifford Sage, Varg\u00b2\u2122 &amp; Croatian Amor, Bromo, Cruhda &amp;Judith Adataberna, and Ivanlov\u00e0 &amp; \u00c1lvaro Chior.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A new section dedicated to audiovisual installations will be hosted in different spaces of Cineteca and Naves del Espa\u00f1ol, including projects by such prestigious artists as Martin Messier (Canada), collectives Total Refusal and Tundra, and French duo Adrien M &amp; Claire B.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Once more, Nave 0 will be the epicenter of the Festival\u2019s Augmented Reality line-up. The VORTEX section will introduce us to the groundbreaking creations of Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Jeanne Susplugas, Lauren Moffatt or Francois Vautier.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>At the open air space in Matadero, the section Ciudad Aumentada (Augmented City) will feature the experience\u00a0<em>Fauna<\/em>\u00a0by Adrien M &amp; Claire B and the collective of designers Brest Brest Brest. Using an Augmented Reality app,\u00a0<em>Fauna<\/em>\u00a0will reveal the wild life hidden inside the walls of the center of contemporary creation.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Besides, this new LEV will announce news about the virtual universe Planet LEV Matadero, an art experience available online and in Virtual Reality, created in 2020 by Children of Cyberspace and produced by Matadero Madrid and L.E.V.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>Tickets for all activities will be available very soon in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/levfestival.com\/21\/\">levfestival.com<\/a>\u00a0y\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mataderomadrid.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mataderomadrid.org<\/a>.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text]Matadero Madrid, the contemporary creation center belonging to the Government Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and managed by Madrid Destino, presents this new\u00a0<strong>L.E.V. Matadero<\/strong>. The\u00a0<strong>Festival of Visual Electronica and Immersive Experiences<\/strong>, produced by Matadero Madrid and Cineteca Madrid, and directed by Datatr\u00f3n platform, will take place between\u00a0<strong>September 23 and 26, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year, L.E.V. Matadero will include\u00a0<strong>music live shows<\/strong>\u00a0again; concerts and performances by classic names and new talents in the fields of electronic and audiovisual sound creation, plus a new section of\u00a0<strong>wide-format audiovisual installations<\/strong>\u00a0which may be enjoyed in different spaces of the center, throughout the four days of the Festival. Sections\u00a0<strong>VORTEX| Experiences in Virtual Realty<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and VR Cinema<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Ciudad Aumentada| Urban Experiences in Augmented Reality<\/strong>\u00a0also come back with unusual creations, to immerse us in unique, dreamlike universes born out of the crossroads of boundless creativity and the latest technological tools. The artist and composer, a pioneer in the use of mobile phones, video surveillance and police scanners in live shows, will play live his legendary work\u00a0<i>Mass Observation<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic music producer and visual artist\u00a0<b>Grischa Lichtenberger<\/b>\u00a0of\u00a0<b>raster-noton<\/b>, one of the most prestigious electronic music labels worldwide, will bring L.E.V. Matadero his unique sound in an audiovisual performance around his latest album\u00a0<em>KAMILHAN; il y a p\u00e9ril en la demeure<\/em>. Multimedia artists and founders of SFX platform,\u00a0<b>Zoe McPherson and Alessandra Leone<\/b>\u00a0will perform\u00a0<em>String Figures<\/em>, a transmedia work based in the connections among sound, film choreography, 3D and macrophotography.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/2ircCAoqdfY&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/vimeo.com\/252069857&#8243; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text]Artist, producer and DJ\u00a0<b>Lee Gamble<\/b>, in collaboration with\u00a0<b>Clifford Sage<\/b>, will play a live show based on his trilogy\u00a0<em>Flush Real Pharynx<\/em><i>,\u00a0<\/i>whose last part\u00a0<em>A Million Pieces Of You will<\/em>\u00a0be released on September 10th. Matadero to premiere us their latest work in progress:\u00a0a post-apocalyptic, narrated ballet about capitalism and democracy in the city of Washington DC, recorded inside the action video game\u00a0<em>Tom Clancy\u2019s: The Division 2<\/em><i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>At LEV we will also discover the pop-up book\u00a0<em>Acqua Alta \u2013 Crossing the mirror<\/em>\u00a0by creative duo<b>\u00a0Adrien M &amp; Claire B<\/b>, a book whose pages serve as the stage for a dance thanks to an Augmented Reality app. Using a very simple graphic style in black and white, ink drawings and folded white paper come together to reveal the virtual life of some little beings and how they plunge into imaginary realms of water.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;40px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][edgtf_section_title position=&#8221;left&#8221; disable_separator=&#8221;no&#8221; title_tag=&#8221;h4&#8243; disable_title_break_words=&#8221;no&#8221; title=&#8221;VORTEX: Virtual Reality and VR Cinema experiences&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text]Since the first L.E.V. Matadero, VORTEX section at Nave 0 collects some of the most surprising and groundbreaking current works in the field of Virtual Reality and VR Cinema.
