The art intervention project\u00a0Arenas Movedizas<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0L.E.V. Festival<\/a>\u00a0(Laboratorio de Electr\u00f3nica Visual) bring Fauna to the streets of Gij\u00f3n<\/strong>. It\u2019s a surprising experience of augmented reality created by French artists\u00a0Adrien M & Claire B<\/strong>\u00a0and the collective of designers\u00a0Brest Brest Brest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This activity was first shown at Escuela de Comercio, during L.E.V. Festival 15th Anniversary and Arenas Movedizas 19th edition, which took place from July 22 to 25, but now it occupies urban spaces through a\u00a0series of wide format posters placed in different open space locations of the town.\u00a0<\/strong>By using a customized\u00a0augmented reality app,\u00a0<\/strong>some\u00a0fascinating beings will come to life in the screen\u00a0<\/strong>of our smartphone or tablet.<\/p>\n

This all-ages activity invites us to join a treasure hunt, following the trails of\u00a0some imaginary animals which reveal the wild life hidden among the street walls<\/strong>. This project is an introduction to a poetic, dadaist way of orientation, which gives us the opportunity to\u00a0pay more attention to our daily urban environment, imbuing everyday living with magic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To enjoy the experience, you just have to\u00a0download the\u00a0FAUNE<\/em>\u00a0free app, available for\u00a0iOS<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Android<\/a><\/strong>, and go out into the streets in search of these posters, which will be\u00a0located in two routes<\/strong>: one in the\u00a0city center, starting at Escuela de Comercio<\/strong>, throughout Plaza del Parch\u00eds, calle La Merced, La Ruta de los Vinos, and Calle Instituto to end at Cimadevilla; the other one is in\u00a0Barrio de Natahoyo<\/strong>, through spaces like Les Naves, Niki Dance, or El Circo bajo el tejado.<\/p>\n

Fauna<\/em>\u00a0is being shown since this summer in\u00a0several cities and prominent cultural events around the world<\/strong>, such as Ga\u00eet\u00e9 Lyrique (Paris) or Festival de Nouveau Cinema (Montreal).\u00a0And now it can also be enjoyed at Centro de Creaci\u00f3n Contempor\u00e1nea Matadero Madrid until January 6th<\/strong>, as part of the line-up of 2021 L.E.V. Festival Matadero.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The programme\u00a0A\u00f1os Luz<\/strong>, coproduced by L.E.V. Festival and LABoral Centro de Arte with the support of Fundaci\u00f3n EDP, shows a big scale, specific work of art featuring light. The program was premiered at L.E.V.\u2019s 15th anniversary with the immersive installation\u00a0M\u00e9caniques\u00a0Discursives<\/strong><\/em>, by\u00a0Fred Penelle<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Yannick Jacquet<\/strong>, curated by Karin Ohlenschl\u00e4ger, plus Cristina de Silva and Nacho de la Vega from Datatron collective.<\/p>\n

This work of art squeezes time to take us to a\u00a0journey in image and sound throughout centuries of history<\/strong>, occupying the whole space (700 m2 and 12 m of height) of Sala de Proyectos de LABoral Centro de Arte, with\u00a0more than 15 simultaneous, immersive, small and large scale screenings, containing more than 250 narrative elements<\/strong>\u00a0which create a huge stage featuring an imaginary world of animated beings, lights and shadows, and mysterious chimeras. This audiovisual installation will be opened to the public for free until January 22.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
