With audiovisual performances, concerts, and audiovisual installations in various venues across the city, the festival continues to establish itself as an essential reference for audiovisual and electronic creativity, both nationally and internationally.<b> The festival now reveals the final names that complete its live show lineup.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The spaces <b>Teatro de la Laboral<\/b>,<b> Nave de LABoral Centro de Arte <\/b>and<b> Mus\u00e9u del Pueblu d\u2019Asturies<\/b> will be the epicenter of sound and visual creation in this edition of L.E.V. Festival, hosting <b>several worldwide premieres in Spain<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival once again will turn <b>Teatro de la Laboral<\/b> into one of its main venues on May 2nd and 3rd, with a program that brings together renowned artists in the field of visual electronics and sound experimentation. Influential Japanese composer <b>Ryoji Ikeda<\/b> presents <b><i>Ultratronics [live]<\/i><\/b>, a performance merging sound and light with mathematical precision, in collaboration with Japan Foundation Madrid. A pioneer in using data as a creative medium, his work envelops the audience in an experience where extreme sound frequencies and minimalist visuals converge, pushing the boundaries of sensory perception. Also on this stage, the Ukrainian artist <b>Katarina Gryvul<\/b>, together with <b>Alex Guevara<\/b>, premieres in Spain <b><i>SPOMYN<\/i><\/b>, a multidisciplinary performance that delves into the fragility of memory. Festival, in its dedication to explore the synergies between art, technology, and digital culture, the Festival once again presents an audiovisual installation in partnership with the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto, a landmark cultural venue in the city. From May 1 to 18, visitors can enjoy free access to this immersive installation, which this year showcases the work of British visual artist and programmer <b>Robbie Cooper.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>With a focus on research into identity and digital presence, Cooper has created projects that examine the relationship between individuals and the technologies that shape their everyday lives. The resulting video installation shows these expressions in the foreground, in a visually impactful format that creates a mirror effect between the protagonists of the recordings and the viewers of the work. By observing the gestures and emotions of others, the public faces an immersive and reflective experience that invites them to question their own relationship with image, virtuality, and technology.<\/p>\n<p>In the Festival, Robbie Cooper will present the extended version, curated by L.E.V., that includes unpublished material of the work, offering an even deeper look at this contemporary phenomenon. Festival with <b><i>Echoes of the Land<\/i><\/b>, an interactive installation inviting the public to engage in an immersive dialogue between humanity and the Earth, made possible with the support from the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain. The work explores the connection between human activity and natural phenomena, addressing how our actions can trigger seismic events and disrupt the planet&#8217;s equilibrium.<\/p>\n<p>The installation combines a mechanical kinetic device with motion sensors and advanced sound techniques, including granular synthesis. Through direct interaction, visitors can apply force to the structure, accumulating energy to a critical point. At this point, the installation initiates a sequence of interconnected movements and sound vibrations, simulating earthquake dynamics and transforming human action into a physical and sonic experience.<\/p>\n<p>A standout feature of the work is its visual presentation. <i>Echoes of the Land <\/i>has two six-meter screens, which will occupy the space of the chapel, and which amplify the sensory experience, projecting in real time the transformations of the environment as viewers interact with the installation.
