Mass Observation arrives at L.E.V. Festival, an iconic live audiovisual performance by Robin Rimbaud [Scanner] that uses technology to explore the pitfalls of social media, and the mass observation of society as viewed through the all-seeing-eyes of CCTV. Accompanied by a film that features surveillance footage and images taken from hidden cameras, the performance uses live radio signals, dehumanized communications, abstract textures, mixed into a contextual electronic score.

Scanner (British artist Robin Rimbaud) traverses the experimental terrain between sound and space connecting a bewilderingly diverse array of genres. Since 1991 he has been intensely active in sonic art, producing concerts, installations and recordings, the albums Mass Observation (1994), Delivery (1997), and An Ascent (2020) hailed by critics as innovative and inspirational works of contemporary electronic music.
