Artists’ second round has granted 50 residence projects to festivals, in order to support emerging artists. This project led by European Festivals Association (EFA) offers creators a platform to develop their careers internationally, through the support of several festivals.
In this second round of grants, EFFEA will support 173 festivals and 50 artists from 36 countries and 14 artistic disciplines. 50 projects will take part in residence programs from September 1 2023 to 31 August 2024.
EFFEA is an invitation for festivals to cooperate across national borders. Each project is a collaboration among a minimum of 3 festivals: a main one and at least two associate festivals, from three different countries. This system allows projects to work closely, offering emerging artists a better European experience and international exposure.
L.E.V. Festival has been one of the festivals chosen for this year and, along with INDEX and NODE festival, proposes a residence for art two-piece SYNSPECIES, formed by Elias Merino and Tadej Droljc, at Centro Musica di Modena.
Next December 7 a chat curated by the Italian collective fuse* will take place in the context of NODE, where the two artists from SYNSPECIES will explain the project they are developing in their residence, ASBU, along with L.E.V. co-director, Nacho de la Vega. A project co-produced by L.E.V., INDEX, WeSA Festival, Snaporaz Verein and NODE Festival with the collaboration of Basemental.
