Music shows and audiovisual performances: Ryoichi Kurokawa, Tadej Drolic, Lucie Antunes, Alex Augier, Fasenuova + Marta Verde and fuse*

L.E.V. Festival comes back this year with a new lineup of musical and scenic activities that will take place at Teatro de Laboral and Teatro Jovellanos. To open the audiovisual show section, on Thursday 22, Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa will perform Subassemblies, an audiovisual music show about the relationship between nature and human creations from the point of view of architectural scale, with overlays of 3D data captured with laser scanners and images of ruins and buildings overgrown by vegetation, reconstructed in a dynamic way to display the power of nature and art.

On Friday 23, Slovenian Tadej Droljc will showcase the performance Beambreaker, a piece composed by lasers, lights, bent mirrors and sound, where volumetric audiovisual objects are born out of a strict synchronization of light beams and broken sound waves, creating a sort of distorted mirror when the invisible can be observed. Afterwards, young French drummer and percussionist Lucie Antunes will play live her album Sergeï, a true explosion of happiness and a declaration of freedom, which invites us to reconnect with our inner child using magnetic sounds and unconventional instruments such as marimba, vibraphone, celesta, tubular bells, glockenspiel and Martenot waves.

On Saturday 24, another double feature will be composed by the audiovisual performance pr(—) by Alex Augier, a site-specific version of his previous project p(O)st which combines the mapping of generative visuals in space with new ways of performing live, using an interface specifically programmed for the piece. Fasenuova will be the final act of the night, playing a live show with visuals by Marta Verde. After a hiatus of five years, the band will premiere new punchy, sharp tracks such as Arma, the new single by this two-piece from Mieres.

On Sunday 25, Italian art studio fuse* will bring a fabulous close with the Live Media performance Dökk, a journey to the subconscious where dance and digital landscapes combined to play with our perception of space-time, in a continuous pursuit for the balance between light and darkness.
