#ALPHALOOP is a project implemented by the artist Adelin Schweitzer which is approaching the theme of the sacred through the prism of the imagined practice of techno-shamanism, stating that there is no dual opposition between Nature and Technology, no structural difference between computers and other “natural” manifestations of reality.
Starting from the postulate there is no reality but rather a set of paradigms which condition our perceptions of the reality and define our relationship to the world, ALPHALOOP questions this conditioning by hijacking the “traditional” use of the mobile phone through a participative, immersive and ambulatory experiment. The telephone as prosthesis of communication becomes here organ of vision and audition, substituting itself to the perception of every participant. The public space becomes from there the theater of a very strange ritual, leading the spectators on the other side of the mirror.

The project is built in collaboration with the writer and performer Fred Sechet and the artist and programmer NAO. It is loosely inspired by Timothy Leary theories on the cybernetic shamanism, and it unfolds from a phase of research focused on the myths and the native cultures from the north of Quebec nourishing the dramaturgic writing of this interactive transmedia performance projected for 2019.
In order to access to #ALPHALOOP, it is necessary to purchase a special ticket: VIRTUAL REALITY ARCHIVO – #ALPHALOOP. At the moment of purchase, a day and a time slot must be chosen for the activity, among the different possibilities offered.
This activity is enjoyed in small groups.
