Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones Live Av

September 24
Plaza Matadero

The duo of producers Sinjin Hawke and Zora Jones, who in 2020 were part of L.E.V. with a live performance in the virtual universe Planet L.E.V. Matadero, arrive now in the flesh at this fourth edition of the festival to present their new live AV show, built on motion capture technology that translates their movement into both sound and vision, allowing them to control the music and turn themselves into on-screen avatars towering in front of the audience. They’ll be performing music from their upcoming albums.

Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones: Fractal Fantasy

Before releasing his long-awaited debut First Opus, Sinjin Hawke had already achieved recognition for his work on a number of groundbreaking projects. A specialist in choir manipulation and orchestral arrangements, collaborative pieces with Just Blaze, DJ Rashad and MikeQ paved his way to produce for monoliths like Kanye West and Frank Ocean.

In 2020, Zora Jones released her debut album Ten Billion Angels, 11 tracks that pulse and refract with ghostly voices and abstract rhythm, vibrating with a vast spectrum of emotions. It’s a culmination of many different threads of Zora’s work.

With the establishment of Fractal Fantasy in 2014, Sinjin and Zora created an environment for their interactive experiments to live in, and by 2017, it was being touted as one of the most innovative audiovisual platforms. Sinjin Hawke and Zora Jones have released a collaborative EP on Planet Mu, and have been restlessly touring their Live AV set around the globe.
