Virtual Reality Experience
The 21st edition of Arenas Movedizas, in synergy with L.E.V. Festival and with the collaboration of the European project Realities in Transition, presents From The Main Square, an animated, interactive virtual reality experience by Berlin-based Brazilian director Pedro Harres and created with an international team from 14 nations.
From The Main Square is a compact portrait of social disruption. Encircling a central square, a new town emerges in all its diversity. A crossroad of stories, buildings, hopes, and conflicts. Social ties and cultures take root, but also animosity towards those who are different. It doesn’t take long for an “us versus them” atmosphere to take over. The viewer is invited to witness the rise and fall of a divided society. A civilization blossoms, with all its contradictions, only to become a danger to itself.
The experience is a production of Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and has been funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. It is also the only German production to ever enter the Venice Immersive competition at the renowned Venice International Film Festival, where it was awarded with the Grand Jury Prize.

Virtual Reality Experience
The 21st edition of Arenas Movedizas, in synergy with L.E.V. Festival and with the collaboration of the European project Realities in Transition, presents Goliath: Playing With Reality, an animated virtual reality experience about schizophrenia, gaming and connection.
Created by Anagram in co-production with Floréal Films, directed by Barry Gene Murphy and May Abdalla, and winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best VR Work at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, this project explores the limits of reality sharing a true story of mental health and the power of gaming through mind-bending animation.
Echo, narrated by Tilda Swinton, guides us through the many realities of Goliath, a man who has spent years in isolating mental health institutions but finds connection in multiplayer games. Combining heart-felt dialogue, mesmerizing visuals and symbolic interactions, it invites us to weave through multiple worlds to uncover Goliath’s poignant story.
