ANNABELLE PLAYE, HUGO ARCIER y RIMA BEN BRAHIM
Live shows & av performances
The LEV Matadero festival presents ARS NATURA, a creation by multidisciplinary artist Annabelle Playe in collaboration with Hugo Arcier. Both propose an immersive work that questions the boundaries between nature, architecture, science fiction, and sound.
In this work, the visual representations of natural landscapes and brutalist architecture place us before an ambiguous world: are we facing a simulation, a reconstruction of the past, or a vision of a post-anthropocene planet? This visual universe, marked by the absence of humans and animals, comes to life only through the presence on stage of a solitary figure who activates, through sound, the appearance and disappearance of the images.
The protagonist, whether human or cyborg, is an interface, a mirror, an entity that raises questions about our connection with the living world. The work proposes a deep, contemplative experience, one that involves total immersion in a powerful, wild, and sometimes disturbing natural environment through a visual and sound narrative that pushes the limits of reality.
