Aïsha Devi headlines the L.E.V. Festival program at Teatro de la Laboral with a live performance around her latest and long-awaited album Death is Home (Houndstooth, 2023), her most personal and revealing to date.
Result of her evolution as an artist and inspired by her own battles, this work of the Swiss-Nepalese producer and vocalist develops her characteristic Aetherave sound to transport listeners to a dizzying and kinetic environment, in which she resignifies anachronistic cultural prejudices with her contemporary, ornamental language and eerie architecture.
A powerful and transformative manifesto with influences from shamanism, physics, Vedic scriptures and ancestral wisdom, where she unravels the dogma of life in the face of death.
_Es [Oigovisiones]
L.E.V. Festival presents the premiere of Bromo‘s latest work, CRISPR the pattern of life, an approach and reflection about one of the most exciting breakthroughs in the history of biotechnology: CRISPR DNA-editing systems.
This musical and visual journey of the duo formed by Paloma Peñarrubia and Azael Ferrer, full of meanings and messages, impossible landscapes, generative images and reinterpreted environments, will dive and guide the spectator into the universe of synthetic biology and the philosophy of evolution.
Hard-hitting sounds with exciting and abstract passages, an amalgam of organic textures and sound concepts, to dance and thrill the listener in equal parts.
_Es [Humo Internacional]
As part of the daytime programme of L.E.V. Festival, the Muséu del Pueblu d’Asturies will host a live performance by one of the most restless artists on the national scene, Cachito Turulo, the new alias by Ernesto Avelino, 50% of Fasenuova.
This musician from Mieres has played many European places with his electronic two-piece, turning into an international reference in the fields of industrial music and EBM. His new artistic incarnation opts for a futuristic, sordid sound, in debt to footwork and drill, related to the most avant-garde electronic sounds.
Festive, wild energy, stories about the night and the streets, over frantic rhythms and abrasive synths.

Dengue Dengue Dengue is a tropical bass two-piece. Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira, producers, DJs and graphic designers from Lima, hide behind their signature masks to explore the rhythms of Peru and other parts of the world, recreating them using electronics, combining the old and the new, analogue and digital, to create a truly singular sound and visual experience. Their musical explorations range from psychedelic cumbia to dub, salsa, footwork, tribal and techno, a sonic palette constantly expanding.
_Uk [Warp]
The nighttime line-up at Nave de LABoral Centro de Arte will be headlined by Evian Christ, an English musician, producer and music programmer, founder of the Tranceparty events.
Credited for his initial contributions in productions of successful albums by musicians such as Kanye West and Travis Scott, during the last years he has directed a series of idiosyncratic projects exploring the legacy of trance in contemporary cultural life.
His album Revanchist (Warp2023), which he will present live at L.E.V. Festival, explores the latent potential of the genre to evoke a full-fledge feeling of sublime, beyond euphoria.
_Fr [Recherche & Développemen]
Singular French artist Jacques, known for his ability to reinvent himself, his unfiltered frankness, and his carefully messy sound experiments, will play live his new show, Videochose.
An amalgam of fragments of films, documentaries, YouTube videos and even footage from his daily life, cut, looped and set to music to turn them into musical instruments, accompanied by his usual artifacts.
Once more, Jacques pushes his own limits to bring us a show as noisy as danceable, where sound and image interact live.

Kessell, artistic alias of the asturian Valentín Corujo, half of the renowned techno duo Exium, and Kerqus, Gijón-based Asturian producer, join forces to display their dominion in the ambient, dub and experimental genres in their first joint album, Druid.
Their music is a result of their long-standing friendship and a shared passion for electronic music. Each track takes the listener on a journey through intricate sonic landscapes, with a perfect blend of organic and synthetic sounds and create an immersive experience that is both relaxing and energizing.

INSCAPE EDITION_Ca [14 lieux]
Canadian artist Martin Messier, a recurring act in L.E.V. throughout all these years, will showcase his new project 1 drop 1000 years, based on a vital process for balance in life: homeostasis, a phenomenon which allows an organism to keep the right temperature, applied in this case to ocean currents.
Seeking to highlight the finesse of our homeostatic system and the fragility of its balance, the artist proposes an artistic interpretation of these intimate and global currents that happen to be essential to the survival of our species and its environment, and which have been slowed down during the last 200 years due to human activity.
